The  09 VSAT series from Sea TelCobham is a cost effective always on broadband satellite communications. These antenna systems are designed to meet a variety of client applications from internet connectivity, VoIP calls, VPN, Video Conferencing to any other suitable IP connectivity.
 
AST have teamed up with key Satellite Service Providers to provide broadband VSAT coverage around globe  with data range upto 1024k outbound from the vessel and 2048k inbound to the vessel with  various contention ratio to suit client application. 

Add on applications such as VoIP (upto to 4 calls at any one time), Internet and data connectivity are provided as part of the service package. Various value added options such as Crew Payphone, InternetCafe, Lease line to client office for a dedicated network for fleet solution can also be included.

InBand Management of the VSAT network is part of service package with a dedicated 24X7 NOC support.

AST can also provide OutBand Management using Iridium as backup for more peace of mind in case of actual link failure for remote diagonistics.

Below deck units also include a AST standard satellite router switch , ATA box in a prewired 10u rack with optional UPS and OutBand Management hardware.
