Felicity Aston, a 33 year old explorer has set two records by conquering Antarctica alone using only her own muscle power.

Felicity, from Kent UK, set off in October 2011, taking with her two Iridium Extreme satellite telephones and an Iridium AxcessPoint device, provided by Applied Satellite Technology Ltd (AST), to enable her to keep in contact with her many Twitter and Facebook followers.

The 1,700km trek to the South Pole followed a previously unexplored route, with Felicity pulling two sledges containing her tent, supplies and communications equipment, weighing more than her own bodyweight.
